Jason A. Paskan , Of Counsel

Became licensed in Ohio in 2009 and dedicated the majority of his practice to defense of medical malpractice and nursing home negligence at the trial and appellate level before moving to Charleston, South Carolina. In Charleston, Mr. Paskan taught at Charleston School of Law, primarily legal research, analysis, and writing, as well as the practical application component of the Bar Exam. During this time, he co-created a class with a contracts professor, demonstrating for the students that transactional law and litigation cross paths in practice; the co-teaching aspect is the basis of a law review article. Mr. Paskan is currently a professor at Capital University Law School where he teaches legal analysis and writing to first-year law students. Before joining Capital, Mr. Paskan taught legal writing as a visiting professor at University of Cincinnati College of Law. In addition to being licensed in Ohio, Mr. Paskan is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Mr. Paskan has previously been named as an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2013-2018 and was named “Professor of the Year” in 2020.
