Graduated from Lorain County Community College and obtained her RN in 1994. She has over 20 years’ experience in long-term care as a Director of Nursing, Physician Liaison, Infection Control, Quality Assurance Nurse, and a MDS Coordinator. She trained as a Hyperbaric Nurse and worked as a Case Manager and Clinical Nurse Manager at the Elyria Medical Center Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine outpatient center. She is a Certified Wound Care Specialist and a member of the Ohio Society for Post Acute and Long-term Care Medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and has provided testimony as an expert witness in the past. As a Nurse Consultant, Ms. Pihlblad has assisted in the successful defense of matters involving nursing home negligence and medical malpractice.
